In recognition of Black History Month, we met with Rachel Rossi, Director of the DOJ’s Office for Access to Justice — along with Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and Public Counsel — as she discussed the impact of the civil justice gap on Black communities. We also heard from the Black business owners of Kalypso Sweet Ice and Island spice tings about how street vending should be made accessible (SB 972). https://www.inclusiveaction.org/blog/street-vendors-sb972 Finally, our CEO Diego Cartagena moderated a Q&A with Rachel to wrap up the event.
We are excited about this Los Angeles Daily Journal article about the event, which features a photo of Diego and Rachel.
