(June 12, 2012) In continued and well deserved recognition, it was announced today that Bet Tzedek co-founder, Stan Levy, has received the President’s Volunteer Service – Call to Service Award.
This national honor was established in 2002 by President Bush. It is bestowed on only a very select group of individuals for their lifetime achievement in providing over 4000 hours of volunteer service to their community.
Few are as deserving as Stan Levy. In part, Stan was recognized for his seminal involvement in Bet Tzedek’s Holocaust Survivor Justice Network (HSJN).
