Nicholas Lampros is the Homeowner Protection Directing Attorney at Bet Tzedek. He directs Bet Tzedek’s Homeowner Protection team in assisting low-income and elderly homeowners to understand their rights and protect themselves from losing their homes to fraud, contract disputes, mortgage stress, and other issues. An experienced litigator and advocate, Nicholas joined Bet Tzedek in 2021, first as part of the Eviction Defense Project, where he represented low-income tenants in fighting for their homes in unlawful detainer proceedings, and later with the Impact Advocacy Project, where he worked on advancing community needs through targeted litigation and policy efforts.
Prior to joining Bet Tzedek, Nicholas worked in private practice, where he specialized in complex civil litigation and policy-holder side insurance coverage disputes, and maintained a diverse pro bono practice including federal civil rights litigation and post-conviction remedies (“expungement”) work. He received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a J.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Law.
