LA Times cites Bet Tzedek’s work to protect low-income, elderly homeowners from PACE home-improvement scams

On June 4, 2017, Andrew Khouri of the Los Angeles Times explored how the PACE home loan program — designed to encourage homeowners to make energy-efficient renovations at low-cost — has been manipulated by some contractors to target low-income, elderly homeowners for home repairs and renovations they cannot afford, often with disastrous consequences.
