After a year of drastically reduced oversight and investigation of neglect and abuse in California nursing homes, Governor Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 392 (Feuer) into law. Co-sponsored by Bet Tzedek, this legislation restores $1.6 million for Long-Term Care Ombudsman programs to patients and families.
