We hope you can join us for Bet Tzedek’s 2025 Dinner Gala on Thursday, April 3, 2025, to celebrate the work and impact of this remarkable organization.
From our humble beginnings at a small office on Fairfax Blvd. with a staff of part-time volunteers, Bet Tzedek has grown into one of the largest legal aid organizations in Los Angeles County. We are a nationally recognized leader in providing legal assistance to low-income seniors, adults, and their families; leaders in promoting economic security through our employment rights and small business efforts; and one of only two major agencies in the nation to offer free legal services to aging Holocaust survivors. Many of our most vulnerable and marginalized neighbors depend on Bet Tzedek for access to their basic rights and life necessities.
Cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead shared, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it’s the only thing that ever has.” There is no doubt that Bet Tzedek’s work — and the work of our 2025 Dinner Gala honorees — exemplifies this sentiment.
On Thursday, April 3, 2025, Bet Tzedek is thrilled to honor:
Geoff and Stephanie Gold with our 2025 Luis Lainer Founder’s Award. Geoff and Stephanie have supported Bet Tzedek in innumerable ways — with Geoff serving on our board and through their combined generosity as donors, pro bono advocates, and hosts to fundraising events.
Elsa Marie Collins, Zoe Winkler Reinis, and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade and their remarkable organization, This Is About Humanity, with our 2025 Rose L. Schiff Commitment to Justice Award. This Is About Humanity is a community dedicated to raising awareness about — and providing assistance to — separated and reunified families and children at the border.
Dani Kaiserman, Bet Tzedek Elder Justice attorney, with our 2025 Jack H. Skirball Community Justice Award. Dani has worked at Bet Tzedek for nearly a decade, advocating on behalf of elderly clients to protect them from financial fraud and elder abuse, and helping with advance planning and conservatorships.
Mark your calendars for Bet Tzedek’s Dinner Gala, the highlight of our fundraising calendar. This soirée is not just a gathering; it’s a powerhouse event that fuels the momentum behind our mission. The energy will be palpable as we bring together more than 900 of SoCal’s attorneys and civic leaders, philanthropists and activists, media, banking and financial services professionals, and friends old and new!
Come be a part of something extraordinary, where each effort makes an impact on the lives of more than 60,000 low-income Angelenos annually. Together, we’re not just dreaming of change — we’re making it happen!
We hope to see you on April 3, 2025 for this always-extraordinary celebration at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
