At Bet Tzedek, the generous supporters who make our work possible can take satisfaction in knowing that 82 cents of every dollar they give go directly to serving our needy clients. For an organization of its size, Bet Tzedek has an enviably low ratio of administrative to program costs.

Over the years, Bet Tzedek has come to rely increasingly on the generosity of private contributions. Gifts from individuals, private foundations, corporations and law firms account for almost 73% of our annual budget.

Although Bet Tzedek holds two special fundraising events during the year--The Justice Ball® and the Annual Dinner Gala--there are many other ways to support Bet Tzedek:

• Cash or check: Bet Tzedek is pleased to accept a donation at any time. Monthly, quarterly or annual pledges are welcome. Contributions may also be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
  
  
  
• Tribute or Memorial Gift: When the occasion calls for a special remembrance, birthday, anniversary, bar or bat mitzvah, graduation, yahrzeit, a tax-deductible contribution to Bet Tzedek will express your message of congratulation or condolence exactly in your own words. Tribute and memorial cards are mailed promptly and donors receive a separate acknowledgment of their gift. Tribute gifts can be made over the phone using Visa, MasterCard or American Express by calling 323-549-5819.
  
  
• United Way: Please indicate Bet Tzedek as the recipient of your United Way payroll gifts.
  
  
• Gifts of Stocks, Bonds or Real Estate: You can avoid capital gains taxes by donating shares of appreciated stock or real estate directly to Bet Tzedek. Please call the Development Office at 323-549-5813.
  
  
• Insurance: You may choose to name Bet Tzedek as the primary or secondary beneficiary of your life insurance.
  
  
• PLANNED GIVING: In your will or trust, you can designate Bet Tzedek as the beneficiary of all or part of your estate. Please consider a gift to Bet Tzedek in your charitable planning. All gifts are gratefully accepted and you can rest assured that the money will be spent to keep the lights burning in the House of Justice for the thousands of needy clients who seek justice.
